Papers include class notes, files, and records relating to the Vidar Corporation and Silicon Graphics. In addition to the bound memoir covering Anderson's life, there is a 14-page review written by Anderson about his engineering career. He describes important techological transitions: changes in jet engine aircraft, the change in electronics from vacuum tubes to semiconductors, and the change in the whole telecommunications network from analog to digital technology. He was also involved in molecular biology and the creation of desktop visual computing. Included in the collection are two obituaries and a photocopy of a hand-written note dated roughly a week before his death.
